Bat is solid wood and has a wood-burned stamp denoting it as a "Louisville Slugger," "Powerized" and a "Genuine Willie Mays Louisville Slugger." Willie Mays used a black Sharpie permanent ink pen to sign his name and "#24" above his printed name. Wooden bat has clear varnish on the top portion but the handle and grip area have been left unvarnished.
