Plaque commemorating Craig Schoof of Menlo School being inducted into the San Mateo County Sports Hall of Fame on July 23, 2015. The plaque is silver acrylic mounted with golden screws onto a dark wooden base. Plaque includes image of Schoof wearing a white baseball uniform with blue letters and numbers, a blue belt, a blue baseball hat, sunglasses and a blue undershirt. He is at a baseball field, standing in front of a green wall and he is pointing with his left and right index fingers. A brief biography is also on the front, "For 27 seasons, Craig Schoof was the face of Menlo School baseball. All of his / teams were fundamentally sound, highly competitive, superbly motivated and well- / prepared. Those qualities resulted in 494 victories at the Atherton school. His teams / won 17 league championships and five Central Coast Section titles. As Menlo's / athletic director, the school, in all sports for boys and girls, captured 121 league and / 32 CCS crowns; also on the Knights' ledger during Schoof's tenure were 16 Northern / California championships and two state titles. Schoof left Menlo at the end of the / 2013-14 school year." The front of the plaque also has the Sports Hall of Fame logo as well as sponsoring information. The back of the plaque has an oval sticker with the logo and contact information for Spotlight Impressions, the manufacturer of the plaque. |
