    Betmar Sunhat, c. 1940s-1960s. White colored wide brimmed hat is comprised of a woven straw-like material that has a slight sheen. Crown has straight sides and a rounded top that is slightly creased. A white satin ribbon forms a band around crown at brim and ends in a large bow at the proper right side of hat. Hat is completely woven with the brim turned up at edge and sewn flat, forming a hemmed edge. "Betmar" label is sewn to interior.

Crepe lining has piped seams. This cape (2020.002.001A) is part of a two-part matching set, including a fur pillbox hat ( 2020.002.001B) and a white floral embroidered handkerchief was found inside the proper right pocket (2020.002.001C).

    Cerise Going Away Dress, 1962. Cerise shantung dress with princess seams on bust, extended cap sleeves, notched neckline, and knife pleats on skirt. Dress has been altered at waist in back, to expand two of the pleats. Back closure with hook and thread loop at neck and hidden steel zipper, painted cerise, down back. Bodice is flat-lined in cerise nylon and skirt is unlined. Three white makers labels inside skirt.

    Coin Purse, c. 1840-1860. Mother of pearl coin purse with a metal work design on the front, red leather on the outside edges, and red silk interior partitions. There is a metal latch on the top front for easy open and close and more red leather on the bottom to act as a type of hinge for when purse is open. The leather that can be seen is discolored and fraying from age and use.

    Asymmetrical-brimmed Cloche, c. 1930s-1990s. The Halle Bros. Co. pink felt ladies hat has a dome-shaped crown with an asymmetrical brim that is 2.5" on the proper right and 3.875" on the proper left. A folded pink ribbed ribbon forms a band just above the brim that ends on the proper right with a bow secured by a fabric-wrapped button. Edges of bow are frayed. A pink 1" ribbon is sewn to interior between brim and crown.

    Lace Shawl, c. 1926-1958. Black lace shawl with wavy edges, an elaborate flowery and swirly design near the borders, and a slightly simpler flowering vine pattern in the center. Lace has a dense netting background, but small parts have netting with wider holes, giving the illusion of cutouts. Edges have tiny decorative loops of thread. Not 100% sure that it's a shawl; it could also be a tablecloth.
