Description |
Green Enamelware Double Boiler, c. 1930s. Double boiler consists of a larger pot (A), a smaller pot (B) to place inside larger pot, and a lid (C). The larger enamel pot (A) is cylindrical in shape with a rounded bottom and narrows to a lip that tapers outward slightly. Long rectangular hollow handle protrudes from side with rounded end. Handle has a hole at end. Outside of pot and handle is painted green and inside has clear coat. The smaller enamel pot (B) is cylindrical in shape with a rounded bottom and a lip that tapers outward slightly. The bottom portion of the pot narrows to a smaller diameter to place inside the larger pot. Long rectangular hollow handle protrudes from raised lip with rounded end. Handle has a hole at end. Outside of pot and handle is painted green and inside has clear coat. Enamel circular lid (C) tapers upward to a rectangular strap handle. Lid has raised lip that tapers outward. Lid is painted green. |
