    Cast Iron Pot, c. 1880s. This Irish three legged, black, cast-iron pot has a bot-belly base narrows at the rim before fanning out again. The pot has two triangle-shaped handles on either side. It also has a rather large hole in the bottom.

    Green Enamelware Double Boiler, c. 1930s. Double boiler consists of a larger pot (A), a smaller pot (B) to place inside larger pot, and a lid (C). The larger enamel pot (A) is cylindrical in shape with a rounded bottom and narrows to a lip that tapers outward slightly. Long rectangular hollow handle protrudes from side with rounded end.   4. Polenta Pot - Pot, Baking

    Polenta Pot. A larger metal pot (copper?) that is narrower at the base and wider at the rim. The pot has a metal and wood handle attached. The part of the handle that is closest to the pot is metal (copper or iron?) with an unfinished wood handle. In the middle of the wood handle there is a circular piece of metal that extends out, which would be used to hang the pot when not in use.

  5. Three-legged Iron Kettle, c. 1890s - Iron, Cooking

    Three-legged Iron Kettle, c. 1890s. Dark iron kettle, shaped like a large, deep pot. Kettle has vertical sides and a rounded base, with three small but sturdy legs on the outside bottom to hold it upright. A thin but sturdy handle is attached to the kettle at opposite sides of the rim; handle is a round strip of iron that, when not in use, lies in a half-circle parallel to the kettle's edge.
