    Solid iron cultivator has curved unpainted wooden handles attached to base with flat metal strips to cross-piece. Cross-piece has spool ends that go against outer "V" of cultivator for manuverability. Single-loop horse harness at front.

  3. Adriance "Buckeye" Spring-tooth Harrow, 1897 - Harrow, Spring-Tooth

    "Buckeye" spring-tooth harrow is solid metal in two pieces. Both have three rows of springs, one with 3, 2 and 1 and one on each row and the other with 2, 3 and 2 on each row. Each unit has a set of solid metal wheels, each with five large flat spokes. Metal pulleys are attached to front of each unit beneath brackets for rigging. Vertical levers are attached to the back of each unit.

    Adriance Platt sulky two-horse sickle-bar Mower, 1892. Used for mowing fields of grain. Once mown, grains are left flat and scattered. Horse tree is wood painted a light yellow with unfinished wooden pieces mounted below it. Silver colored spiked blade extends out the right side and has two stained wooden handles mounted to end with green metal.   5. Apple Butter Paddle - Paddle, Apple Butter

    Solid wood hand-carved apple butter paddle is made of a single piece of unfinished blonde wood. Spade is rectangular in shape with a flat back, sloped sides and a slightly flared bottom. Cylindrical handle flares into hand-carved blade.

    Sulky (seated) six-disk Avery harrow has a triangular body and two six-spoke wheels attached to central vertical axle in front so that it can rotate left to right. Spade-shaped seat has two rows of round perforations and is mounted to back of body and above disks.     Iron belt pulley used to run blacksmithing bellows, a trip-hammer or other tools via wind or water power--one disk mounts to the power source while the other side mounts to the tool. Unit has a central rod with one large disk on right and what looks like three tapered connected disks on left. There is a triangular piece on rod between disks. Unit mount on ends via two upside-down V-brackets.

    Solid iron metal box scraper has two large 16-spoke wooden wheels, painted gray, with iron metal band tires. A long square wooden beam with broken front end is mounted to front with heavy iron metal brackets. Scraper itself is a large shallow box with an open front.     Large sulky (seated) bull rake has two giant iron six-foot seven-double-spoke wheels on either side attached to central axle upon which spade-shaped seat with two rows of oval shaped perforations and ten curved rake forks are also mounted.   19. Dain (John Deere) Wheel Buck Rake - Rake

    Wood and iron wheel buck rake has a metal axle in back with inset six-spoke wheels between center and ends. Axle is framed by two horizontal wooden boards attached with metal brackets and approximately eight to ten "rake" pieces extending out front.   25. Harpoon Hay Lift - Carrier, Feed

    Solid iron harpoon hay lift is comprized of two upside-down U-shaped pieces attached at crossbar where a lever with hinged joints is mounted between on each side. Bottom of lever piece ends in an angled spike for grasping hay while top is secured with cotton rope. There is an iron ring at center of rope and below center of top of each upside-down "U": one ring is 4 1/2" while the other is 13 3/4". Both are attatched to top with wire.
