Cast Iron Pot, c. 1880s. This Irish three legged, black, cast-iron pot has a bot-belly base narrows at the rim before fanning out again. The pot has two triangle-shaped handles on either side. It also has a rather large hole in the bottom. |

Provenance |
Pot was brought to America by Esther Hacket Maloney, who immigrated with her three youngest children to join her older children in the 1880s. They settled with her brother-in-law, P.J. Maloney, and the pot has been passed down mother to daughter through the generations ever since. |
