Contained 1963.116.001-007 which includes three knives, three forks and one tablespoon but does not appear to be original to these artifacts.

Japanese Travel Basket, c. 1915-1930. Large rectangular basket (A) with matching lid (B), probably made of woven bamboo. Weave is in a chevron pattern with a wrapped rim. Lid is slightly larger than the main basket in order to completely cover it and seal it closed but, open, both could be used as separate baskets. This travel basket is typical of those used by Japanese immigrants to carry the belongings with them to the U.S.
