    Blank Cartridge, c. 1941-1945. Brown metal shell that is cylindrical in shape. The bottom narrows and then widens to a lip. The bottom also has an engraved circular ring. At top the body narrows and ends with a finished edge. The top has purple paper wad that is placed inside the shell.

  6. Bullet, c. 1942-1946 - Bullet

    Bullet, c. 1942-1946, likely a machine gun cartridge, made out of lead and gunpowder, golden-colored, has a pointed slightly darker projectile attached to a case that is thiner on the neck and thicker on the body. The rim is attached to the body after a small notch, and inserted into a recess in the center of the base it has a metal circle called "primer" which is a metal cup containing a primary explosive.

    Bullet pouch, 1847. Brown leather ammunition bag. Bag has a canvas strap for hanging over shoulder. Front flap tapers into a vertical piece with a pointed end. Canvas strap has four small, linen squares attached. Canvas strap has one small, leather circle with squared edges attached. Canvas strap is attached to ammunition pouch by leather string.
