K-P Camp Lewis, 1917. Pencil on off-white paper cartoon sketch depicts a dour-faced man behind a counter wearing an apron and chef's hat and smoking a long, thin pipe. With his right hand he holds a large spoon over a container of what looks like soup. Behind him is a shelf from which knives, pots, and other cooking utensils are hanging. Text in the bottom right foreground says ""K-P" Camp Lewis Nov-10-1917," with the "K-P" in bubble letters. In the lower left corner is the artist's signature. |
