Description |
Wood and acrylic plaque commemorating Tim Cullen of Serra High School and College of San Mateo who was inducted into the San Mateo County Sports Hall of Fame on June 3, 1998. Plaque includes image of Cullen and a brief biography: "Tim Cullen was a natural. For him, sports appeared to come easily. At Serra High School in San Mateo, he excelled in basketball and baseball. At Santa Clara University, it was more of the same. He was a three-year starter in both sports. His 1962 Bronco baseball team played in the College World Series. As a utility infielder he spent seven seasons in the major leagues, playing over 700 games. In 1998, he took over as general manager of the Pacific Coast League's Fresno Grizzlies." |
