Wood and acrylic plaque commemorating Jim Liggett of Carlmont High School who was inducted into the San Mateo County Sports Hall of Fame on June 9, 1999. Plaque includes image of Liggett and a brief biography: "Jim Liggett became a San Mateo County coaching institution during his long tenure at Carlmont High School in Belmont. Going into the 1999 softball season, his Scots had posted a 550-120-1 overall record, with 16 league championships and one Central Coast Section title. Coaching Carlmont football from 1977-91, he compiled a 113-42-6 mark, with six league championships and one CCS title. He even coached boy's baseball for several years. He played minor league pro baseball for seven years." |
