    Handheld Boxcar Mover, c. 1920s. The Thurman Smith Boxcar Mover was used to hand move boxcars on railway lines. It consists of a long wooden pole which tapers at either end. One tapered end is fed into a metal fitting which has oval shaped holes on its sides. Attached to the metal fitting by a nut and bolt is an angled metal pivot.     Railroad Lantern, n.d. Round circular base with ribbing narrows into a circular cylindrical center. Inside cylindrical center contains glass light, and glass lens in cone frame. Lever on side of cylindrical center opens and closes glass front. In base is a circular knob. Cylindrical center extends upward to a circular ring. Circular ring protrudes from top of light and topped with metal lid. Two metal screws attach a metal handle over top of lid.

    Railroad Police California Southern Pacific Co. Badge. Silver metal badge in the shape of a six-pointed star. Badge is plain of decoration and has two small holes punched into it, one in the top point and one in the bottom point. Stamped on it in black is "RAILROAD POLICE 18 CALIFORNIA SOUTHERN PACIFIC CO." The 18 is in the center and the other lines curve above and below it.

    Railway Police L.I.R.R.Co. Badge. Silver metal badge in the shape of a rounded shield, with small holes punched near its upper corners and a small "21" stamped in the center on top. Center has a large circular image of a ship, an eagle, and two horses, with a banner with small raised text reading "VIRTUE / LIBERTY / INDEPENDENCE." Stamped into the metal above and below the image is "RAILWAY POLICE / L.I.R.R.CO."
