Logging tongs are solid iron and comprised of two pieces shaped like an upside-down question mark [?] with loops at stem. The end of curve in piece A is slanted while piece B has a sharp spike. Both would be connected at loops in order to lift logs.

Pacific Drag Saw, 1902 - Trimmer, Log
Pacific Drag Saw, 1902. Fully restored drag saw has yellow wheels, a red body and blue and black engine parts. "PACIFIC DRAG SAW" is printed in yellow letters on one side. According to Milt Cavalli, who used this drag saw when he was 12 to cut logging tree stumps into firewood to sell to neighbors, the hooks have been mounted upside down and should be pointing down rather than up.
