    Bronze Star Medal, 1945. Bronze five-pointed star medal (A) with a smaller five-pointed star embossed in the middle. The star is attached to a ribbon (B) meant to be pinned onto a person's clothing. The ribbon is red with a narrow white border and a stripe of blue running vertically down the center. "TAKASHI YATABE" is inscribed in verso. The medal was awarded to Takeshi Yatabe for meritorious achievement during WWII, 1944-45.

    Eucalyptus Log Mortar, 1920. Wooden Mortar is 22.5 inch section cut from a solid piece of Eucalyptus log. Wooden log stands on a flat end (as displayed) and has an approximate 7" deep, 15" wide mortar carved into the opposite end. This mortar was used to make mochi.
