Eucalyptus Log Mortar, 1920. Wooden Mortar is 22.5 inch section cut from a solid piece of Eucalyptus log. Wooden log stands on a flat end (as displayed) and has an approximate 7" deep, 15" wide mortar carved into the opposite end. This mortar was used to make mochi. There is also a 7 x 5 knot on the side of log. |
