Born in Potter Valley, California in 1902. Attended California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland. Worked at commercial art in the Bay Area for many years. Is a member of the Society of Western Artists and of the Mendocino Art Association. Now lives and exhibits his work in Ukiah, California. OBJECTIVES FOR PAINTING "DALY CITY" Moved to Daly City in 1955. At that time the Christian Brothers' dairy cows could often be seen from our back yard. We enjoyed this environment until about 1963, when it was sold, destined to be transformed into residential and business areas. At this time, I began to make sketches, notes and photographs which resulted in several paintings, one of which is in the personal collection of Fred Gellert. |
