1964 The Living and the Dying - Daly City by Henry Rupe. Oil or acrylic on canvas mounted inside a silver-painted wooden frame with a white linen inner border. There is an engrave brass plaque on center bottom front of frame that reads, " FRED GELLERT FOUNDATION / COLLECTION OF SAN MATEO SCENES / HENRY RUPE / DALY CITY / PRESENTED BY ART-RISE 1986." Image depicts a view from just before the curve in a road next to a white barn which takes up one-third of the right side. On the other side of wooden fencing is a field with two tractors. Beyond that is a small hill, on top of which is the Seton Medical Center building. |
