"ISAAC CARSON / JEFFERSON HIGH SCHOOL / INDUCTED MARCH 29, 2018 / For his opponents on the track in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Isaac Carson was a blur, a gifted will-of-the-wisp in running shoes. Now you see him, now you don't. He was a state-level star; his specialty was the hurdles. At Jefferson High, he won eight individual North Peninsula League track titles. A Central Coast Section hurdles champion and an All-American, he sped to a California state championship in the 110 high hurdles in 1991 after finishing second the year before. At the University of Nebraska, he continued his standout performances, earning himself a spot in the school's top 10 in the 200, the hurdles, and the 4-by-100 relay and a Big Eight Conference title, also in the hurdles. He was an essential part of his school's team, crowned champions of the 1994 and 1995 Big Eight conferences." |
