As a student at San Mateo's Hillsdale High School in the late 1980's, she was unable to make a varsity sports team. Things changed after that. She discovered competitive rowing at Cal Poly- San Luis Obispo. From there, she found a partner, Missy Ryan, to combine with her in the pairs event. The twosome won a silver medal in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta and a bronze medal four years later in the games in Australia." |
