Description |
Leo Biedermann Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame Plaque, 2014. Plaque includes image of Leo Biedermann and a brief biography: "For Leo Biedermann, size was a distinct advantage. And he used it on the football filed to great effect. Standing 6-8, he became a star offensive lineman at Westmoor during an era when the Rams were a serious factor in San Mateo County prep football. There is a certain irony in the today, because the Daly City school no longer offers the sport. Which means that, in all likelihood, Biedermann will remain the most honored lineman in Westmoor history. His career in the trenches took him to the University of California-Berkeley where he became a standout as a member of the 1975 Golden Bear Co-Pacific 8 Championship team and Honorable Mention in 1977. He then moved on to the NFL where he was drafted in the 12th round by Cleveland in 1978 and played for the Browns that year. Later, he played for Montreal in the Canadian Football League and the Oakland Invaders of the USFL." |
