His dad, Gregg Tafralis, is a former world-class track and field / performer and San Mateo County Hall of Famer. The son took up where the father left / off. Adam became a Two-Sport All-State selection and County Athlete of the Year. / From Mills High he went on to San Jose State, where he rose to fresh heights and / flourished. A four-year starter with his biggest years in 2006 and 2007, he led the / Spartans to 18 victories, including a bowl game triumph. The SJSU football media guide / shows that he had outstanding career-record numbers: 7,548 yards passing on 603 / completions with 52 touchdowns, along with 563 rushing yards. He later played / professionally in the NFL with the Colts, the CFL and the UFL."
