Plaque includes image of Woods and a brief biography: "When Haley Woods stepped into the batter's box, pitchers tended to think twice. As a softball player, she is regarded as one of the most devastating and feared power hitters ever produced on the Peninsula. She was the scourge of two leagues during her prep career and then tore the cover off the ball for four more years at UC-Berkeley. As a catcher at Cal, she set career records in total bases (413) and RBI (191). In her senior season, she led the Bears in 10 offensive categories. Her teams went to three NCAA softball College World Series, playing for the title twice." |
