Maker's mark on back of neck is Wood & Hughes, a silverware manufacturer based in New York, NY from 1833-1899. This pattern is unknown, but similar to several of their later patterns, hence the date range. [http://www.925-1000.com/ax_W&H.html 10/25/2017] Unknown who Fanny and Leta were; genealogy entries exist for several Fannie Ralstons born in the late 1800s, but none from California. |
