San Mateo County Courthouse in Redwood City in the Early 1930s by John Lucier. Unframed acrylic on canvas painting depicts a corner street lined with parked cars surrounding the county courthouse building with a large brown dome at the top. There are palm trees out front and grassy areas and a wide section of steps with lighting fixtures on either side lead up to the 4-columned portico. Eagles decorate the top of the gray building which has numerous windows along the sides which have arched tops on the top floor. |
