Bryan Thomasson Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame Plaque, 2016. Plaque commemorating Bryan Thomasson of Jefferson High School and Skyline College being inducted into the Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame on June 8, 2016. The plaque is printed on silver-colored metal with a 3" x 2.5" photograph mounted to the upper right hand corner. Metal and photograph are mounted beneath acrylic with gold-colored decorative brads onto an mdf wooden base covered in a dark woodgrain vinyl laminate. Top left corner has the 2016 Peninsula Hall of Fame logo which consists of a blue ribbon that reads "20 Peninsula Sports 16" across the base of a green trophy whose base reads, "HALL / OF / FAME" with arcs of 7 blue stars on either side. Color image of Thomasson is a head and shoulder portrait. He is wearing a black-colored V-neck shirt over a white T-shirt and posed in front of a woodgrain background. A brief biography is also on the front, "He was an ultra-athletic high-flyer and skilled shooter on the basketball court, but most of all, Bryan Thomasson was a winner. Any number of times, the rugged star willed his teams to victory, according to his coach at Jefferson High, Bud Bresnahan. In Thomasson's senior season at the Daly City school, 1987-88, he led the Indians to a 33-1 record and the California State Division III championship, scoring 32 points against Lincoln of San Diego in the process. At Skyline College, he is still that school's all-time scoring leader with 1,348 points over two years. Later, at the University of Nevada-Reno, he was the Wolf Pack's leading scorer in 1991-92, his senior season. He became one of Nevada's top three-point shooters in the process." The back of the plaque has an oval sticker with the logo and contact information for Spotlight Impressions, the manufacturer of the plaque. |
