Provenance |
Given to donor on 5/30/2006 by Jennifer Brouhard as a "key to success" retirement gift. She received the key from her mother, Hermine Polk, who was executor to the Countess Lillian Remilard Dandini estate. The Countess bought the house in 1950. The key was original to the house when it was built, although it was stored in a room upstairs and rarely used as the house was never locked. The door that went with this key was present until the most recent remodel in the mid-2000s. |
