Raychem Corporation The Billion-Dollar Day Commemorative Sculpture, 1988. This is an acrylic sculpture that was given out to employees to celebrate the Raychem Corporation's Billion Dollar Day festivities on September 10, 1988. The clear acrylic sculpture has a triangular shape and is 6" x 12" x 1". It is incised with a horizontal red line against a graph of parallel white vertical lines. Text includes the Raychem logo, the year 1988, and the figure $1,094,733,000. The sculpture is stored in a white cardboard box with a lid that has a triangular insert to keep the sculpture from moving around inside the box. A light gray paper card rests on top inside the box, which has a short printed note from Paul Cook. A set of four adhesive felt circles on a paper backing for adhering to the bottom of the sculpture are also included inside the box. A red ribbon with silver adhesive seal fits around the outside of box. |
