1927 photograph of Sequoia High School Corner entrance presented to Ruth Barrett. Color photograph is mounted inside a gold-painted wooden frame with carved front edges. Image depicts the Mission-style corner entrance of Sequoia High School on Broadway Street in Redwood City. The structure has an arched walkway, a red tiled roof and lanterns on either side of the walkway and at the ends of the roofed sections. "SEQUOIA HIGH SCHOOL" is written in gold letters above arched walkway. A paved street is visible in the foreground and there are eucalyptus and redwood trees in the background. An inscription in black ink on back reads, "To Ruth Barrett-- / Presented by the Essay Committee / on 'Forest Preservation' / Sequoia Union High School / Nov. 29, 1927." |
