Description |
Company Arrives in Camp Lewis, 1917. Pencil on lined newsprint paper cartoon sketch of a mustached man trying on clothes. He wears a huge pair of pants that come up to his chest; with his right hand he holds a belt and scratches his head. Beside him is a similarly huge pair of shoes with a tag reading "SIZE._._ 7 1/2." A thought/dialogue bubble in the top left reads "Pants 34x27 hm-m; I guess they meant feet not inches / Shoes 7 1/2, yes; they are just about 7 1/2 miles TOO BIG." An outlined caption in the top right reads "Those Shoes and Pants That where "JUST YOUR Size"." The man casts a shadow below and behind him, and behind his torso and the text bubbles is some amorphous crosshatching. |
