Description |
Stoneworking 9-Point, c. 1920-1925. Silver-colored metal tool used to smooth the surface of a piece of granite, powered by an air hammer. Tool would be used earlier in the process of working the stone after it had been shaped. Tool has a cylindrical shaft which becomes a wider squared shaft at the halfway point, and is split at the bottom into 9 points arranged in a 3 x 3 grid. The points are blunted from use. |
