Plaque commemorating Derek Loville of Pacifica being inducted into the San Mateo County Sports Hall of Fame on June 4, 2002. Plaque includes image of Loville and a brief biography: "As a running back, Derek Loville reached the peak of football success with the NFL's San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos in the 1990s. On three occasions with those teams, Loville was a member of Super Bowl champions. His most productive season occurred in 1995 with the 49ers when he gained 723 yards and scored 10 touchdowns. A graduate of San Francisco's Riordan High School, he matriculated to the University or Oregon where he became one of the Ducks' all-time leading rushers." |
