Description |
Jabari Issa Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame Plaque, 2014. Plaque includes image of Jabari Issa and a brief biography: "When Jabari Issa stepped onto the football field as an imposing upperclassman at San Mateo in the 1990s, he was a man among boys. At 6-5 in height and solidly-built, he was an intimidating all-Bay Area force as a defensive prep lineman. It was more of the same at the University of Washington where he was all-Pac 10 in the trenches. He captained the Huskies in 1999. He was a sixth-round selection by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2000 NFL draft. He went on to play for six seasons for four NFL teams - Arizona, Houston, Pittsburg and Kansas City - during a pro career that led him to Europe and Canada, as well. In the CFL, he played for a total of four years in Edmonton and Winnipeg." |
