S. H. Frank & Co. Label, c. 1882-1959. S. H. Frank & Co. label is made with white coated fabric. A metal rivet is ringed by a circular washer that is marked "DENNISON'S / CLOTH" on the left side. This left side of the label has angled corners. Text is printed in black and red ink on the front and in black ink on the back. Text from top to bottom reads, "FROM / S. H. Frank & Co. / 416-422 BATTERY ST. / SAN FRANCISCO, - - - CAL. / TANNERS OF THE CELEBRATED CALIFORNIA / OAKWOOD / HARNESS / LEATHER / WEARS BETTER / FINISHES BETTER / CUTS BETTER / CLOSER TRIM / THAN ANY LEAHTER TANNED. / HANDLED BY JOBBERS. / (OVER)." Text in the center is printed in red starting with "Oakwood" and ending with "Tanned."
