Wood and acrylic plaque commemorating Catriona Fallon of Mercy High School who was inducted into the San Mateo County Sports Hall of Fame on May 22, 1997. Plaque includes image of Fallon and a brief biography: "Catriona Fallon was a multi-sport performer at Mercy High in Burlingame in the late 1980's. As a tall, strong youngster, she swam, played basketball and participated in track and field for the Catholic girls' school. But it was in college that Fallon found her sporting niche: rowing. At UCLA, she joined the crew team and quickly developed into a star. She became so proficient that she was chosen to be part of the U.S. Olympic crew team in both 1992 and 1996." |
