Wood and acrylic plaque commemorating Colette Chiamparino of Sacred Heart Prep who was inducted into the San Mateo County Sports Hall of Fame on June 9, 1999. Plaque includes image of Chiamparino and a brief biography: "Colette Chiamparino is one of the finest all-around female athletes in San Mateo County history. During her career from 1987-91 at the small Catholic school in Atherton, she played four sports: Volleyball, basketball, softball, and track. But basketball was her forte. Though plagued by injuries, she scored 2,050 points for SHP during her four varsity seasons. An All-County, All-Bay Area star, she matriculated to Santa Clara University and became a key player in her senior year." |
