Description |
1906 brass steam gauge, possibly for knot speed. Large round brass housing is shaped like a port hole with recessed sides and a solid brass back. Interior brushed steel(?) face is under glass and has markings that measure from 0 - 4000 in 500 increments. Numbers and markings are in black. There is a long black and short red dial. Unit is mounted to a brass threaded pipe with a pointed tip, upon which are mounted to large brass nuts and a large brass wing-nut with 5.5" "wings." There are holes along the back brass plate for mounting unit to a wall. A wooden block has been added to the bottom via an oval-shaped piece affixed just above pointed end of pipe. |
