Description |
Sketch by Alvin Page Colby, 1918. Pencil on lined off-white paper sketch depicts a man sitting on a cot or hammock, straddling it so his legs hang down on either side. In front of him is a stack of paper. He holds a pen or pencil and has written about half a page. He smokes a long cigarette. In a dialogue bubble above him is written "Cant think of a darn thing to write about." His signature in the bottom right looks like a face, and that face smokes a cigarette as well. |
