Edwin "Eddie" Mack Sports Hall of Fame Plaque, June 22, 2023. MDF wooden plaque with a walnut laminate finish. Front has beveled acrylic rectangle over a printed silver metal dedication affixed to plaque with brass-colored brads in the corners. Top left corner has the Peninsula Sports 2023 Hall of Fame logo with a gold trophy, blue ribbon and blue stars. Bottom center has the San Mateo County Historical Association logo with the dome for the San Mateo County Courthouse in blue. Top right corner has an image of Edwin "Eddie" Mack in mid-air wearing a San Mateo Junior College sports uniform. Text on plaque reads, "Edwin "Eddie" Mack / San Mateo High School/College of San Mateo / Inducted June 22, 2023 / A barrier-breaker, a sterling performer on the football field / and on the track, Eddie Mack, born in 1927, made an / indelible mark wherever he performed, beginning early in / the 1940s at San Mateo High School, then at the College of / San Mateo. Later, at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, he / captured the school's first track and field league / championship in the long jump in 1949, repeating that / signature feat in 1950.
