Description |
Chinese Suitcase, c. 1947-1948. Rectangular in shape with a primary textured, beige finish. The edges of the suitcase are stitched with tanned leather strips. The suit case has two silver and gold color locking mechanisms where a key is needed (key located inside suitcase). There is one, "C"-shaped handle attached to the suitcase by two gold pieces. The suitcase has brass covers where the leather strips meet the openings and four brass buttons on the bottom when the suitcase is standing up. The interior of the suitcase is lined with a wool-like fabric. The interior has one large pocket in the upper part of the suitcase (when open) and three smaller pockets in the bottom part (when open). There are two strips of wool-like fabric attached to the interior of the suitcase to keep the lid at a 90-degree angle when opened. |
