Band-Aid Adhesive Bandages, c. 1941-1945. White cardboard box (A) has red, gray and black printed text identifying product, maker and providing directions for use. Top folds and flips up toward the front to reveal contents. Inside are eight individually packaged bandages comprised of glassine with blue and red text, one (B) 2" x 3.25" and seven (C-I) 3.25" x .875". Larger package contains 12 junior size adhesive bandages. Smaller packages each contain single bandages. All of the bandages are vented and waterproof. There are also two non-packaged square bandages (J-K) 2" x 2.125". One side is flesh-colored fabric; the other has two pieces of white-colored fabric that are meant to peel away to expose a square white gauze pad surrounded by the adhesive side of the flesh-colored cloth. There are four additional non-packaged bandages (L-O), rectangular in shape .75" x 2.75". |
