Wood and acrylic plaque commemorating Denise Bilbaeno of South San Francisco High School who was inducted into the San Mateo County Sports Hall of Fame on June 7, 2000. Plaque includes image of Bilbaeno and a brief biography: "Denise Bilbaeno was a key reason the South San Francisco High School volleyball team made San Mateo County history in 1984 and 1985. A dynamic setter, she led the Warriors to consecutive California state Division II championships. Those are the only public school state prep volleyball crowns won by a county school. At UC- Davis, Bilbaeno became an All-American in her senior season, 1990. Twice, she was the MVP of the Northern California Athletic Conference." |
