Description |
Sketch by Alvin Page Colby, 1918. Pen and ink on vertically lined off-white paper, with some pencil sketching visible underneath. The sketch depicts two men, one leaning back in a barber's chair and wearing a white apron over his uniform. The lower half of his face is covered in shaving lather. The second man leans over him, one hand holding his client's head as well as a shaving lather brush; his other hand is raised and holds a large open straight razor. He has a comb tucked behind his ear and a somewhat crazed look on his face. |
