Object Name |
Pin, Fraternal |
Description |
Science Club of America Pin, c. 1960-1963. Steel gray metal pin is shaped like a downward-pointing triangle with a half-circle extending around the bottom point. Across the top is written "SCIENCE CLUBS OF AMERICA" in raised text. In the center of the triangle, vertically from the bottom point to just below the words, is a burning torch. Surrounding it are jagged lightning-bolt lines extending horizontally to the triangle's edges and top corners. The half circle at the bottom has a border that is smooth on the inside and zig-zagged on the outside, making it look like either a shining sun or a gear wheel. In back is a vertical safety clasp. |
