Redwood City Courthouse, c. 1882-1890. Sepia-colored photograph shows the Redwood City Courthouse, a two-story brick building connected to a single-story structure in the back. A statue of a woman in flowing robes adorns the top of the roof at front. Three tall trees are visible in the foreground of the image. Nine men pose on the courthouse steps and several others sit in carriages on the street in front of the building. The photo caption reads: "THE FIRST COURT HOUSE, IN THE REAR, WAS / ERECTED IN 1858; THE SECOND, IN FRONT, WAS ERECTED IN 1882 AND USED UNTIL 1904. NOTE THE WOODEN STATUE OF JUSTICE. -- DR.
