Description |
Daly City Box Houses Off Skyline Boulevard, 1964. Black and white negative shows multiple houses in Daly City off of Skyline Boulevard. A guardrail appears in the foreground in the bottom of the image in front of a hillside filled with rectangular "box" houses. A row of houses can be seen in the background at upper left near an undeveloped area of land. Daly City housing developments such as these inspired Malvinia Reynolds to write the popular satirical song "Little Boxes" in 1962. |
