Guidi's "The Hub" South San Francisco, 1945. Black-and-white photograph shows a long, narrow aisle in a store's interior. On the left side of the aisle is a tall shelf with various clothing articles hanging on it. On the right side is a long counter, stacked with more clothing, fabric, and various other indeterminate articles. Behind the counter and a ways down from the photographer stand two people, an older man, Charles Guidi, and his adult daughter Theresa Guidi Clark. Behind them are more shelves stocked with various boxes. |
