Description |
Untitled [Equipment Inside Dollaradio Receiving Station] c. 1930-1950s. Black and white photograph of equipment inside the Dollaradio Receiving Station in Pacifica. The image shows the corner of a room set up for short-wave radio operations. A chair and typewriter, partially out of frame, appear in the foreground at bottom center. Behind, a desk supports radio equipment, a telephone, clipboards, and cabinets to organize documents and supplies. A large world map hangs on the right-hand wall. It is pinned at various points with dark circular markers. If connected, the marks would form a jagged line horizontally across the center of the map. To the left, a clock and pages of a large format document are attached to the wall. |
