Moving of the Miller House on Oak Grove Avenue, August 1948. Black and white negative shows the Miller house being moved from Oak Grove Avenue at Linden Avenue in Burlingame, California. The photograph was taken looking down Oak Grove Avenue toward the Miller house, which appears in the distance above center in the image. The house is raised onto a set of wheels and there are ropes leading down the street away from the building. Two men are visible traveling on the top of the roof, and another man stands on the street next to the building. Three other men stand a short distance down the road looking toward the house with their backs to the camera. A woman in a plaid patterned dress stands on the sidewalk at right watching the scene.
