Description |
Courthouse Redwood City, c. 1882-1903. Sepia-colored photograph shows the second San Mateo County Courthouse built in Redwood City, also known as the Lady Justice Courthouse for the statue adorning the top of the building. The Courthouse is a Neoclassical two-story structure with a single-story addition on the back. It is photographed in three-quarter profile looking northeast. A short picket fence surrounds the building grounds along an unpaved road that runs in front of the building. Two boys appear to be playing marbles on the road near the center on the image. On the other side of the road, two electrical poles stand at intervals along a sidewalk, and a fire hydrant appears at lower right. |
